5.1 The Local will provide funding determined through budget preparations and based on strategic goals of the organization.
To be eligible, a SUN Local OHS Committee member/alternate must:
Attend two (2) OHS Committee Meetings/inspections in the same calendar year of the workshop.
5.2 OHS Committee Member/alternate may access up to $500.00 biannually to attend OHS specific education/training.
a) Requests for access to the funding must be received by email to the OHS Chair at ohschair@sunlocal75.ca
b) Members may apply to be reimbursed for registration fees (tuition only), hotels (if required outside of Saskatoon), parking, and/or textbooks and/or similar material required for the course completion.
c) OHS Committee Member/alternate can attend more than one (1) education to a maximum of $500 per committee member/alternate biannually. Education must occur in the calendar year requested; certificate of completion required for reimbursement.
d) Completed request forms with original receipts and a copy of certificate of completion must be returned to the Local office. MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE to submit all receipts and must do so within the calendar year (Jan-Dec). All documentation must be received by no later than Jan 31st of the subsequent year. NO LATE submissions will be accepted.
e) All education must be relevant to OHS Committee work within our healthcare setting
