PURPOSE To encourage full participation and open discussion at an executive meeting.
SCOPE Local 75 executive
POLICY STATEMENT Diverse opinions are valued and respected.
PROCEDURE Individual points of view will not be reported. Executive decisions will be supported publicly. Annually, the SUN Local 75 Executive will review and update the Code of Conduct (as attached).
SUN Local 75 Executive Code of Conduct
- We will listen when someone is speaking.
- We will not engage in sidebar conversations.
- We will identify when norms are not followed.
- We will debrief at end of meeting.
- We will respect a person’s comfort level with regard to physical contact.
- We will be mindful of body language.
- We will resolve conflict at the lowest level.
- We will treat each other with respect, recognizing our diverse backgrounds and opinions.
- We will use respectful language and tone and will be mindful of rude language, also remembering that words are important.
- We will respect the speaker’s list.
